If no one has preregistered for a course one week prior to its start date, the class may be cancelled. To preregister for a class, send mail to SSCCLASS indicating which class(es) you plan to attend. Sci. 2470) for holding office hours. As was announced in SSCNEWS in May, the consulting office (not the entire terminal room) is now available for reserve by instructors or teaching assistants to hold office hours (during times when no consultant is on duty) to provide support to students who use the SSC computers as part of their class work. The office is available between 8-10am or 3-5pm, Monday through Friday. Please contact Nancy McDermott (send mail to mcdermott or call 262-3206) to reserve the room. -------------------- New SSC publications -------------------- The following new publications are available for SSC users: Using Emacs on UNIX (SSC Pub.#7-10) SSC publications are available in the racks in the public terminal room, Soc.
