R for Researchers

This workshop has sessions on multiple days. You should plan to attend all the sessions.

This course covers the tools and commands you need to start a project, import and format data, create tables and graphs, and run a linear regression. This course excludes the following items which are covered in the full R For Researcher course: Git for version control, preparing tables and graph for publication, as well as regression diagnostics and inference.

This course uses RStudio's integrated development environment (IDE). IDE is a fancy name for a set of tools that are designed to work together. The IDE is a useful enhancement to R and you will be more effective in R by using it.

No prior knowledge of R is required for this class.

If you wish to use your laptop to do the examples in the course, you will need to have R and R Studio loaded prior to the start of the class. You can see the SSCC help desk to get these loaded if you need assistance. No class time will be used to install R and RStudio.
