Interests

I love teaching economics and economic research, but do enjoy many activities away from academia. My wife and I have been married nearly a decade and enjoy almost all outdoor activities, either golfing, camping, or out for a bike ride together together. In addition I love to fish, hunt, and bird. We both have a interest in photography, but my wife definitely has the better artistic eye. We have two young daughters, Michaela and Danielle, which fill our days.

Birding

When our girls were newborns we spent nearly all our freetime outside on walks.  First and foremost it was a chance for us to spend time together as a family.  Second it was a great chance to see birds, and was the start of our birding hobby. We would bring along cameras and take pictures along the way as they presented themselves. It is tough to go birding with two toddlers, but we still find a few opportunities to get out.
